Day 5: Paris

Paris for another full day and night! And today almost matches yesterday's pursuit of exploration! Following breakfast at the hotel, we departed for a walk down to the Seine River. There, the group settled on climbing the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral - a long wait but well worth the view! From there we jumped on the metro and landed at Museum d'Orsay, home to the most impressionist and post-impressionist paintings in the world! The rich cultural history of Paris was ours to see. Although we had seen much of Paris by this point, after our trip to d'Orsay, we took an early-evening cruise down the Seine River, seeing such landmarks as the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, Eiffel Tower, Museum de l'Armee, Museum d'Orsay, Notre Dame Cathedral, and a plethora of Paris' historic bridges. What a trip! Finally, after a group dinner near Pompidou, we managed to get in one last peak at some of the best parts of Paris - il de La Cite and the Eiffel Tower. And with that, we are off to Cologne in the morning. Pictures below... Goodnight!
