Day 3: Cabourg to Paris

Today, Abbey Road Modern Europe enjoyed a relaxing morning to finish off our stay in Cabourg. Then we hit the road to Paris, arriving amidst a mid-afternoon shower at our hotel (next door to the Luxembourg Gardens). After enjoying a bite to eat in the neighborhood - bagels in Paris, nonetheless! - we headed off to Montmartre. Taking in the views of both the city landscape and the basilica itself, we discussed the consequences of conflict our destination so boldly evoked. We then strolled about the Place du Tertre, musing through the rich culture its street artists and buildings had to offer. Next, we traveled to the St. Michel neighborhood for a nice dinner. As the French national team's victory brought the nearby restaurants to life, we journeyed across the Seine River, for a visit to our final destination of the evening, Notre Dame Cathedral. Needless to say, we are excited to have two more days in this beautiful city!
